The Tisheps is one of the sacred ointments of ancient Egypt, was used in rituals associated with the Goddess Hathor at Dendera to anoint before undertaking the trip to Edfu (177 Kms). Its preparation took 241 days. The dominant issue was the cinnamon perfume, and we find it mentioned in the story of the Punt expedition of Queen Hatshepsut.
